Hi! I'm so glad you are interested enough to click around and find this page.

So up next we are building a game that crosses Madlibs with DnD. You are welcome to sign up to beta test it. We would love the support. Just know that it is a ways out still. I don't have a time frame on when it will be available yet.

Also, this is where we've got the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy for our bot, Alexandria.

Alexandria Terms of Service

Last updated: July 17, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Alexandria — including the Discord experience, related bots, terminal prototypes, marketing site, and any beta or preview features (together, the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Who we are

Alexandria is an early-stage, narrator-driven tabletop one-shot experience. The Service is provided by Alexandria (“we,” “us,” or “our”).

2. Beta / early access

The Service is offered as a beta (or similar early-access program). Features may change, break, pause, or be withdrawn at any time. Sessions may be interrupted. Saves, progress, or voice features may be lost. You use the Service as is, knowing it is unfinished software.

3. Eligibility

You must be old enough to use Discord under Discord’s terms and applicable law where you live. If you use the Service on behalf of a group or server, you represent that you have authority to accept these Terms for that use.

4. Your account and Discord

Access may require a Discord account and membership in an Alexandria-related server or channel. Your use of Discord remains subject to Discord’s own terms and policies. We are not responsible for Discord’s availability, moderation tools, or account actions.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for illegal activity, harassment, hate, sexual content involving minors, or other abusive conduct
  • Attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer, overload, or circumvent the Service or its rules engine
  • Impersonate Alexandria staff, bots, or other players in a misleading way
  • Use the Service to collect others’ personal data without a lawful basis
  • Submit content you do not have the right to share

We may suspend or terminate access for conduct we reasonably believe violates these Terms or harms players, operators, or the Service.

6. Game content and inputs

You may submit text, voice messages, commands, character details, and other play inputs. You retain rights you already have in your original contributions. You grant Alexandria a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, process, reproduce, and use those inputs as needed to operate the Service, run sessions, provide support, and review beta quality — consistent with the Privacy Policy.

Narrator output, adventure text, rules results, and other Service-generated material may be used by Alexandria to operate and improve the Service (other than training AI models on your data — see the Privacy Policy).

7. No AI training on your data

Alexandria does not use your gameplay data, chat, voice inputs, or other personal content to train AI models. See the Privacy Policy for details on retention and processors.

8. Third-party services

The Service may rely on third parties (for example Discord, cloud hosting, text-to-speech, or LLM API providers) to generate narration or speech. Those providers have their own terms. We do not control third-party outages or policy changes.

9. Intellectual property

Alexandria’s name, branding, software, adventure designs, and related materials are owned by Alexandria or its licensors. These Terms do not transfer ownership to you. You may not copy, redistribute, or commercially exploit the Service except as we expressly allow.

Tabletop rules references (including D&D-style mechanics) are used for gameplay compatibility; trademarks of third parties remain their owners’ property. Alexandria is an independent project and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Wizards of the Coast unless we say otherwise in writing.

10. Disclaimers

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation, accurate narration, or specific game outcomes.

11. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ALEXANDRIA AND ITS CONTRIBUTORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) FIFTY U.S. DOLLARS (US $50).

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those places, the above limits apply only to the extent allowed.

12. Indemnity

You will defend and indemnify Alexandria against claims arising from your misuse of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law, except to the extent caused by our willful misconduct.

13. Changes

We may update these Terms as the beta evolves. We will update the “Last updated” date and may post a notice in Discord or on the site. Continued use after changes means you accept the revised Terms.

14. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or end access (including beta access) at any time, with or without notice, especially for violations or if we shut down a preview.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, USA, excluding conflict-of-law rules, unless mandatory local law requires otherwise. Courts in Utah will have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any non-waivable consumer protections where you live.

16. Contact

Questions about these Terms: contact the Alexandria operators via the official Alexandria Discord server, or through the project maintainers listed on the related GitHub repositories.

Alexandria Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 17, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Alexandria (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, retains, and shares information when you use Alexandria — including the Discord experience, related bots, terminal prototypes, marketing site, and beta or preview features (together, the “Service”).

1. Scope

This Policy covers information we process in connection with the Service. It does not cover Discord itself or other third-party platforms you use alongside Alexandria; those services have their own privacy policies.

2. Information we collect

Depending on how you play or interact with us, we may process:

Account and Discord identifiers

  • Discord user IDs, usernames/display names, avatar URLs (if provided by Discord APIs)
  • Server / channel IDs where the bot is invited or used
  • Roles or membership signals needed to run games or beta access

Gameplay and session data

  • Commands, chat messages, and other text you send to the Service
  • Voice messages or audio you submit for transcription or play (when that feature is enabled)
  • Character names, class/build choices, rolls, combat state, saves, and session logs
  • Adventure progress and technical logs needed to run or debug a session

Technical and operational data

  • Timestamps, error logs, performance metrics, and similar diagnostics
  • Approximate connection metadata typical of hosting providers (for example IP address in server logs)

Communications

  • Messages you send us for support, feedback, or beta review (including in Discord)

We do not require a separate Alexandria password on the marketing site (it is static and has no user accounts).

3. How we use information

We use information to:

  • Run games, narrators, rules adjudication, and voice features
  • Operate, secure, and debug the Service
  • Communicate about beta access, incidents, and product updates
  • Review beta sessions and quality indefinitely during the beta testing period (see Retention below)
  • Comply with law and enforce our Terms of Service

4. No AI training on your data

We do not use your personal data, gameplay content, chat, voice inputs, or session logs to train AI models.

Third-party AI or speech providers may process prompts and outputs to generate a response for your session (inference / runtime use only). We configure and instruct our use of those providers so that your Alexandria content is not used to train their models where the provider offers that choice. If a provider’s default settings or policies change, we will update our integration practices when we become aware of it.

5. Retention (beta)

While Alexandria is in beta testing, we retain gameplay data, session logs, and related review materials indefinitely so we can investigate bugs, evaluate narrator quality, improve the product, and review abuse or safety issues.

After beta ends, or if we change this practice, we will update this Policy and describe any new retention periods. You may ask us about deletion (see Your choices); during active beta we may retain copies needed for ongoing review, security, or legal reasons even if we remove data from day-to-day systems where feasible.

6. How we share information

We may share information with:

  • Service providers that help us host, log, store, transcribe, synthesize speech, or generate narrator text (under contractual or platform terms)
  • Discord, as required for the bot and server experience to function
  • Advisors or contractors bound to confidentiality who help operate the beta
  • Authorities, if required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security
  • A successor if Alexandria is transferred as part of a reorganization or similar transaction

We do not sell your personal information.

7. Cookies and the marketing site

The Alexandria marketing website is a static Rails site without user accounts. It may use minimal technical storage required by the framework or host. We do not run a third-party advertising cookie program on the marketing site.

8. Security

We take reasonable administrative and technical measures appropriate to an early-stage beta. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Please avoid submitting sensitive personal information (government IDs, health data, financial account numbers, etc.) in game chat.

9. Children’s privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required by Discord / local law). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under that age. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

10. International transfers

We may process and store information in the United States and other countries where we or our providers operate. Those locations may have different data-protection laws than your home country.

11. Your choices

Subject to Discord’s tools and our beta retention needs, you may:

  • Leave Alexandria Discord servers or remove the bot from servers you administer
  • Ask us about access, correction, or deletion of personal data we hold
  • Stop using the Service at any time

During beta, deletion requests may be limited where we must keep data for security, dispute, legal, or indefinite beta review purposes described above. We will explain what we can and cannot delete when you ask.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law (for example access, deletion, or complaint to a regulator). Contact us to exercise them.

12. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy as the Service evolves. We will revise the “Last updated” date and may announce material changes in Discord or on the site. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Policy.

13. Contact

Privacy questions: contact the Alexandria operators via the official Alexandria Discord server, or through the project maintainers listed on the related GitHub repositories.
