Hey there, beautiful people. I’m Curtis.
I am the unbridled intellect behind our AI tech. At 25, I left college behind to give the world what it truly deserves: my genius. I design the backends that will revolutionize your tabletop experience. But let’s be honest—you’re really here for this breathtaking, flawless head of hair.
Jeremy has described my personality as that of a smug but likeable cat. Funny enough, I’m a dog person. Former educator, server, current IT professional, and afflicted with any incurable and chronic case of extreme curiousness. I crave total freedom, which is why you might find me exploring abandoned buildings or traveling around the country in my time off.
I wouldn't be who I am without my faith and relationship with Jesus Christ. I’m eternally grateful to God for everything I’ve been blessed with. It’s my life goal to walk with people from all circumstances in life. I want to help solve the problems of the human condition - poverty, loneliness, apathy, fear, and everything else. In my travels, I’ve learned that life is what you make it, and a little perspective goes a long way.
Playing storytelling games helps me see the beautiful story in all of us, and is one of my favorite things to do with my friends. Speaking of which, seeing my friends succeed is the best gift I’ve ever been given. And, to answer your frantic inquiries: no, Jeremy and I are not an item. He is a lovely designer, of course. But look at me, then look at him. I am a luxury few can afford ;)
Hey! I'm Jeremy. It's great to meet you!
I am the lead designer for our board games, which basically means my full-time job is trying to keep Curtis's ego contained. I’ve loved TTRPGs since childhood, and honestly, they were what kept me sane during my time in prison—which was still arguably less chaotic than trying to manage a business partner who sleeps in his car for fun.
Right now, I'm studying computer science at ASU, desperately trying to learn enough programming to keep up with Curtis's rogue AI algorithms. As a proud gay creator, my goal is to build immersive worlds where absolutely everyone feels welcome at the table.
My ultimate dream is to transition into VR storytelling. I want to share profound experiences—like hiking the Grand Canyon with my friend in a wheelchair—and give players a genuine chance to walk in someone else's shoes for a day. I figure if I can make VR work, I can finally project Curtis into a virtual office so he leaves my desk alone.
If you can't find me at that desk, look for a rock out in the desert—I'm probably climbing it to get some peace and quiet. Otherwise, when Phoenix inevitably enters God's oven mode, I'll be safely indoors, curled up with a massive fantasy book.
